Founder and CEO of November Entertainment
Ambitious: adj 1: having a strong desire for success or achievement. 2: requiring full use of your abilities or resources.”
In a world where there are millions of followers and not enough leaders, where people conform to society’s norms and those who make their rules with a ‘take no prisoners’ attitude, there emerges a visionary, a born leader, and a very ambitious businessman with one mission and plan in mind….“Conquering the Entertainment Industry”.
Carl N’watts has had music in his blood since he was a kid. At a young age, he and his best friend Manny formed a childhood boy band in London, UK called ‘Teens’. The group performed songs from popular 80's groups such as Lakeside, Shalamar and the SOS Band. By the time he turned 13, Carlin and his group were on the verge of signing a record deal with a local (now defunct) independent label- Tabansi Records. A week before their signing, they were informed that the President of Tabansi Records died in a plane crash. Devastated, Carlin lost all dreams of making it in the music business.
In 1993, Carl and Manny co-founded Blackbird Entertainment and Carl handled the entire business aspect of the company. In 1996, with sheer tenacity and perseverance, they sold an astounding 80,000 copies of Manny’s debut EP “Why” throughout Europe- without any major label backing. However, with the visibility of their success growing, the major labels came calling and this lead to an exclusive contract with Virgin Records in the U.K.in August 1994.
Mr. N’watts was responsible for brokering an elite sponsorship for his company with one of Europe’s most exclusive jewelers- Graff- in June 2001. Shortly thereafter, he decided to use the knowledge he had acquired over the years to move into the next phase of his career by launching his own independent label. In August 2001, Carl N’watts launched his groundbreaking company November Entertainment Group. The music label for this company, November 8 Recordings, released their first act- Pop Rock artist Jonah Brockman’s- debut album “Merciless Morning” in February 2005. As CEO and President of the November Entertainment Group, Mr. N’watts makes time to personally oversee the day-to-day operations of his company and its various divisions: November 8 Recordings, 118 Management and 8 Vision, Inc./Beyond Imagination. His influences are Sean “Diddy” Combs, Russell Simmons, Donald Trump, and Don King.
“Failure is not an option,” says N’watts. “It’s not whether you want it or not. The question is….how bad do you want it? This is what separates the winners from the losers.” says Mr. N’watts on his views of success. Phenomenal success is definitely on the horizon for this ambitious CEO as he prepares to make his mark; one that will be an indelible mark in the entertainment world.
